Chapter 40 Chap Thirty-nine

• It was truly a punishment. Damon didn’t let me rest all night, taking me relentlessly until I was utterly spent. He only stopped as the first rays of sunlight began to peek over the horizon. So, when I woke up the next day, I was stunned to see the time on the large wall clock.
• 12 noon?!
• What on earth? As I shifted slightly, a sharp ache coursed through my body, particularly my most sensitive areas. Damn it—it hurt even more than before! I groaned inwardly. Next time, I’ll make sure not to let Damon catch me when I’m up to something he doesn’t know about.
