Chapter 28 Chap Twenty-seven

• I can’t understand why I’m feeling so restless. Earlier, I’d been pacing back and forth outside Damon’s room while he was in the bathroom. It was late, and we’d just finished dinner, but I couldn’t shake off what Damon had told me earlier.
• Now, another worry gripped me. Knowing Damon’s life was in danger made me anxious; I didn’t want him out of my sight. Damn it! I shouldn’t be panicking like this!
• “I’m done,” Damon announced, stepping out of the bathroom in just his white robe, his broad chest visible from where I stood. His presence made me feel self-conscious. I’d seen him like this before, but every time he looked like that, my body couldn’t help but react!
