• My jaw tightened with lingering frustration from my encounter with Jules Simson. Damon’s cousin—he’s somehow even more infuriating than Damon was when we first met! Do they all have to come off so abrasive at first meeting?
• “Are you okay, Luna?” Anna’s voice pulled me from my thoughts. I hadn’t noticed her approaching with a tray of food. Now back in the library, she set it down in front of me and took a seat.
• “It’s nothing, just... thinking,” I replied. She nodded, and I began to eat in silence while she waited nearby. I wanted to ask her about Jules, but I hesitated. After finishing, we left the library, Anna walking slightly behind me. My thoughts were interrupted when Delta Robin suddenly appeared, panting as he approached.
