Chapter 122 'Acquaintance' (Two)

• “I … I…” I stammer, blushing furiously. It briefly occurs to me that I’m literally standing in front of a killer, and having a conversation, but all of a sudden, she doesn’t scare me.
• “Don’t worry. I get it. You know, I kind of like you. You and I are sort of alike. At least, we have the same interests. I think we’ll get along very well. So, how has my dear brother been? You’re carrying my niece or nephew, aren’t you?”
• “Uh, yes. Well, Charles has been fine. I’m actually carrying twins, but I don’t want to know the genders. I prefer to wait and let it be a surprise. I know that when the babies come, Charles will come around. He seems very interested in taking care of them but wants nothing to do with me. In fact, he just got me a big house in which we will all be comfortable. I hope to use my kids to get to him in the end.” I tell her, rubbing my tummy fondly.
