• “She’ll be caught.” Mrs. James assures me, but without conviction. I know what she’s thinking because that’s what I’m thinking as well. Charlotte is a pro at disappearing and if she truly is the cause of the jailbreak, then it stands to reason that she has enough resources at her disposal to make herself scarce and do whatever evil she has been planning in her head since she’s been in prison.
• “I hope so,” I reply.
• “Anyway, on a lighter note, I’m happy that soon, there will be another infant cry in this house. You plan on staying here long enough for that to happen, don’t you?” Mrs. James asks me, raising her eyebrows and chuckling a little when I blush and begin to stammer.
