Chapter 100 True Colors (Two)

• My eyes immediately become glassy with tears as searing pain tears through me. I have no one to blame but myself though. This woman is not my friend, and she has never been my friend, but I was too blind to see it until now.
• “That’s not possible. You didn’t even know each other before the whole cruise saga. That belly looks older than five months.” I say to none of them in particular, turning to Charles, my eyes pleading with him to refute the vile news that Sam had just divulged, but his eyes are downcast and his shoulders are bowed in shame and guilt.
• I try to fight the urge to retch, but my efforts are in vain because a few seconds later, I’m rushing towards the nearest waste bin I can find and throwing up all the contents of my stomach, as there is no way I can get to a restroom on time.
