Chapter 101 The Fight (One)

• I didn’t think it was possible for Charles to go any greener than he already was, but at Samantha’s words, he turns pale, and he looks like he’s going to pass out at any moment. As for me, the wheels in my head are turning rapidly, and I’m wondering how on earth to extricate myself from this rapidly embarrassing situation and painful situation.
• I’m not yet processing the whole thing as well as I should, but there will be enough time for that. Right now though, being in the same vicinity as Sam is extremely nauseating, so I have to get the hell out of there. It doesn’t help that Charles is standing there like a deaf or mute person, and not refuting or accepting Sam’s claims.
• “That’s wonderful. I wish you both the very best. Take care now.” I tell them, turning away and walking off rapidly, desperate to retain my dignity. Now, I wish that I did not ask Jeff to go away. I could do with some support right now.
