• “Ha! You think you’re so much better than everyone else, don’t you? Well. I put it to you that you’re nothing but an ugly empty shell of a woman. You think you’re so classy and bigger than everyone else but you’re not. Pretending as if you’re not hurt and nothing ever gets to you but I can see right through your mask. A few more seconds and you’ll be bawling your lungs out. I really need to see that.” Samantha screams at the top of her lungs.
• “Samantha! Stop it this minute. What the hell is wrong with you?” Charles says, taking her arm in an attempt to drag her away, but she pulls free of him with savage strength and continues her tirade, getting into my space. Her face is contorted and spittle flies as she talks. Now, I can see her for what she truly is, a jealous, mean-spirited wolf in sheep’s clothing, but I try my best to keep my expression neutral because I can see how much it is pissing her off. Charles comes to lead me away from her spiteful tongue, but I raise one hand to stall him.
• “You think I forgave you for stealing Sebastian away from me? I never forgave you. Now I’ve had my revenge, and I’ve stolen the man you love away from you forever. Oh, you think I don’t know that you’re in love with him? Pathetic little thing that you are. Can you remember how many times I had to console you at night when you were crying over him?
