Chapter 9

• Before the sun rose the following morning, Alpha Nathan, who remained inside his palace, called his soldiers together in his bedroom. Last night, he had trouble sleeping and did not go to the mountain as usual. He could not stop thinking about Elena and how he might get her back.
• No matter how powerful and demonish the Alpha Don is, he won't give up on taking Lena from him, and that is a battle he wants to start—to fight the Don and take away from him what he has been with long ago.
• He peered at the expressions of his soldiers who had already assembled, anticipating his next move. "You will all go to Alpha Romano's palace and look around. Make sure to get out the corpse in his hidden compartment, located in his bed chamber." He hesitated and shook his head. "Do it covertly. Make certain you are not detected. Find the corpse and return it to me. Nobody would know who he is," he said, relaying his instruction.
