• He whispered to her, growling, "You made me a sex addict, and I will punish you for that." Lena felt her heart pound. For spilling his food, she was meant to receive punishment—perhaps lashes—but instead he is attempting to ingratiate himself with her. "My Luna is the only one who has the authority to do that," he said, untying the rope and letting it fall to the ground.
• She gazed at the bruise left by the rope, which drew his attention to her flesh.
• "I know I should not be doing this, but I believe my mate bond is stronger than my aloof manner." Gently massaging the bruises with his thumb, he helped them heal.
