• Bianca had instructed Lena to serve her while she was at the palace. She would not hesitate to tear her apart if doing so would not make her misery any worse. Her resentment was that great.
• She laid on the bed, looking at the ceiling, with Lena standing to the side, observing her. "Massage my leg till I fall asleep," she instructed Lena, who immediately proceeded to do so.
