Chapter 13

• Lena worked through the night on an empty stomach. While she was preoccupied with her job, the Mistress would constantly bother her and knock her if she fell asleep. She felt so overwhelmed by the situation that she was sorry to come over as the Beta requested.
• Now that she's awake, and working, the Beta didn't show up a bit to confront the Mistress.
• "I will never do that again. His mistress should do everything for him—" she pouted and stood before the slave master. With a bow, she nearly walked by him, but the slave master spoke out and diverted her focus. Turning, she asked, "What do you mean by that?"
