Chapter 14

• The instant she was pulled up by her hair, a scream sprang out of her throat. Before she could shout at whoever was torturing her, she remembered that she had fallen asleep in Alpha's chamber. "Your Majesty," she said while keeping her eyes closed.
• "You should utilize opportunities judiciously; you do not have to go overboard." He gestured at the wall clock. "You had four hours of sleep. I think that's too much for a slave.”
• Her head sprang up. "However, the other slaves never worked at night. I was the only one who did," she groaned, but he grabbed her ear and pressed it so hard that she lost her voice to scream. The pain was so excruciating, but she dared not complain.
