Chapter 10

• Lena watched with tears in her eyes as the entire Pack mourned the death of a man who was her master's uncle. She is less oblivious to his position within the Pack, his title, and the fact that they have all convened just to mourn him.
• She wept as she looked at the picture with the flowers all around it and the Alpha Don doing the ceremony. She did not think such a strong man would cry so much in front of his people.
• Since she is a slave and fear would not allow her to go any closer, she made the sensible decision to take advantage of the situation and go after the morgue attendant as she had already determined. "I need to confirm that everyone is present," she said, remaining motionless and moving her gaze quickly until he discovered the mistress, the Beta, and the other people who had gathered to one side, all of them in tears.
