• Edward's POV
• I turned the car around and drove to my old home with Clara. Soon, I was standing before the familiar building. I looked up to her window, and the darkness there hit me like a slap. Hadn't Clara come back yet? And James? I'd been here more often than I could count in the past three years. James had a tight schedule. He would never be late until after 8 PM. Tonight was an exception. It was already 10 PM, and the window was still dark. "Did something happen?
• I waited downstairs for a while until no one showed up. Fortunately, one old lady who was a resident in the building came back. She had seen me several times, standing beneath the big tree, looking up at the window. If it were not for my designer attire and exotic car, she would have probably taken me for mad. She walked by, and I asked her about Clara. "Auntie, do you know where my relatives went?"
