- Edward and I rushed Clara into the hospital. The doctor administered her immediate first aid before admitting her to a ward, telling us that there were no complications but for the fact of exhaustion and the need to rest. Edward and I heaved a sigh of relief.
- Having fled from the company, Clara was in a daze on the bus. She remained so until she was by herself on the bus. While the automated announcement was played, she crawled out slowly. The night breeze blew to her very bones. She walked until she reached the beach, salty air thick in the night.
