Chapter 20
- POV: Oliver Whitfield
- I learned of the cyberbullying against Clara and summoned my PR department to handle it immediately. We took down the abusive messages and locked the paid accounts that created them. But the damage was done. The cybermob was demanding a response from Clara herself. My assistant, Simon Price, said she should sort it out, but I knew better. Seeing such a brutal attack, even I could not bear. A girl like Clara would never be able to handle this mess alone. It was good not to tell her about this mess and just fix it myself.
- I called Fiona Blake, who had a very clear picture of the insulting remarks. She was with the PR team of the TV channel in a meeting, figuring out how to remove the blunder. She was torn up when she answered. She explained everything to me—how her mother-in-law harassed Clara, how her husband had an affair with her, impregnated the mistress, and how she was evicted with nothing.
