- "You really trust me this much huh?" Amber joked but deep down she wanted to hear what he would say, he trusted her so much that he went through the stress of retrieving the CCTV footage when the fact that the file was lying in her drawer was already enough proof that she was at fault. Xavier blew a breath, she looked directly at her eyes,"Yes I do" Amber was transfixed by his eyes, she couldn't move from her spot but instead got lost in his eyes. They held their position until the office door suddenly flew open, Amber was the first to remove her gaze from his eyes and looked towards the door to see who had the guts to barge into Xavier's office that way and of course if it isn't Charlotte. Amber thought to herself as she watched Charlotte walk into the office with pride, she was probably here to stir up some trouble since that was what she was mostly good at. Charlotte didn't see Amber around when she got back from the restaurant she dropped by some minutes ago, so she thought Xavier already had her fired. She was just about congratulating Xavier for making a good choice by getting Amber fired but was surprised to see Amber in his office instead. She even wore a smile. Charlotte got confused but didn't show her reaction, instead she raised her chin up at Amber and asked rudely,"Why are you still here?" Amber rolled her eyes and dry chuckled at Charlotte before she replied,"Why? Are you shocked to see me here? You probably think I'll be out of the company by now right?" Charlotte crossed her arms around her chest and replied back almost immediately,"Yes, isn't that what sly's and betrayers like you deserve?" Amber smiled sweetly, so sweetly that it disturbed Charlotte who was expecting Amber's expression to drop to the lowest. "Well so sorry to burst your bubbles but I am staying". Charlotte didn't want to believe it, there was absolutely no way Xavier would leave her in the company again, not after what she did, so she ignored Amber's words and faced Xavier instead. "What nonsense is she saying Xavier? Why haven't you kicked her out already? Having this kind of person in the company is really dangerous because she could do worse. Amber almost yawned, she was really tired of hearing Charlotte's voice, she couldn't wait for Xavier to drop the bomb on her, literally. She couldn't wait to see her reaction afterwards. Xavier stared at Charlotte with a bored expression and replied flatly,"She's staying".
- Charlotte couldn't believe her ears when Xavier said the words. "Excuse me?" She asked to confirm if what age heard was indeed true or if it was probably getting ears playing tricks on her. When Xavier did not reply to her, she knew it was indeed real and she wasn't hearing things like she thought,"But why? Why would you let her go Scot free Xavier? This is not you" She turned her gaze sharply towards Amber,"And as for you" Charlotte said pointing her finger towards her,"What did you say or do to him to brainwash him into believing you huh? Why can't you leave him alone?" Xavier immediately told Charlotte to stop especially when he saw Amber was about replying to her, he knew the amount of hatred Amber now has towards Charlotte, leaving them alone to battle words was not a good idea. - Before she could complete her sentence, Amber already played the recording to her hearing, making Charlotte pause in silence.
