- Amber felt something wasn't right with Charlotte, knowing her she would probably try to hurt her or do other things at the bitter words she threw at her, but much to her dismay, Charlotte remained silent and walked out? Amber looked around the office in out of impulse, wondering what Charlotte was doing here anyway, the time read,"7:45" it was far too early for Xavier to come for work, Charlotte of all people should know that so why was she here so early? Amber noticed her drawer was out of place, she was about arranging it when her phone rang, she checked the caller ID, the call was from Xavier, she instantly composed herself and answered the call,"Hello sir". Xavier responded immediately,"Are you at the office?" Amber nodded and realized Xavier can't see her so she replied instead,"Yes I am sir". Xavier replied,"Good, I want you to check off at immediate meetings I might have today so just postpone them till next week" Amber wondered what the occasion is, she was curious so she asked,"Is the event holding today?" She recalled him talking about an event to declare the #1 Billionaire in the country, was it today?
- Xavier said,"No it isn't but I just wanted a free day today and to also arrange everything in preparation for tomorrow" As soon as he said that, the office door opened and Amber looked up to see Xavier staring at her with a phone to his ear, she realized he hadn't ended the call yet, she smiled and said into the phone,"Okay sir" Xavier smiled along and hang up the call. "How are you?" He asked her walking towards his seat. "I'm very okay sir, especially now that I kinda have a work free day today, makes me happy" Amber stretched out her arms in excitement not minding his presence there. Xavier chuckled, he likes the fact she was beginning to warm up to him and be herself around him, it made his heart gladden. "I did it for you, you know? I know how tirelessly you work so hard so you can consider this a small token of appreciation". Xavier said facing Amber who smiled at his words,"I am so flattered sir, believe me". They both laughed, the air felt light, the feeling felt so good.
- But the smile didn't last too long as Xavier opened his drawer, his expression changing. Amber noticed Xavier's smile dropping to the lowest, she wondered what was wrong. "Are you okay sir?" Xavier ignored Amber's question and stood up searching around his desk frantically, he couldn't believe this, he didn't want to believe this. "Where is it" Xavier muttered underneath his breath still searching hid desk. Amber seeing how serious he looked suspected the matter might be worse, she stood up immediately and walked towards him not knowing if to speak or not, he looked scary at the moment, thankfully Xavier faced her and said,"I can't find my file, nor the document" Amber's deameanor also dropped, she knew just how much the file was important to him, shr wasted no time in helping him look for the file,"Where could it be?"
