Chapter 41

• Amber got up from bed as soon as her alarm began ringing, she didn't want to repeat the same mistake of ignoring it and waking up late. She woke her kids up to bathe one at a time while she rushed down to prepare something as they changed into their uniforms. Amber was surprised in seeing already doing the dishes and preparing the food. "I must be dreaming, Since when did you start doing that?" Sophia rolled her eyes at her best friend's words. "Just be grateful I am doing this okay?" "Oh I am so grateful mi lady" Amber said while walking towards the fridge to grab some vegetables, she placed the vegetables on the kitchen counter and turned to Sophia "Also, don't forget to add these okay? They are very nutritious in food" Sophia shot her a killer glare which Amber ignored and went upstairs instead,"Thank you!" Amber yelled knowing it was only going to piss Sophia off the more.
• When Amber entered the room, she saw her kids were fully dressed in their school uniforms so she told them to wait downstairs and have cornflakes for breakfast. She rushed into the bathroom immediately and got ready for the day. Now she won't have to rush her dressing and choose her outfit carefully. She was so lazy yesterday she forgot to pick out an outfit to wear, but it's okay she can still do that, not like she was late for work anyway. She opened her wardrobe and opted for a suit skirt, and a white button up. Simple but elegant, she thought of adding a suit jacket to it wondering if it would be too much. She decided against it and did her hair instead which gave her a hard time brushing it, oh the tangles! They were so frustrating, after about 30 minutes she finally got ready. She went downstairs to see her kids and Sophia staring at her. "What?" She raised her brow in confusion. Sophia crossed her arms around her chest,"1 hour? Seriously? Just to get dressed? Were you giving birth there?" Amber rolled her eyes and said,"A woman got to take her time to dress nice you know?" " I wonder who she is getting all dressed up for?" Sophia muttered underneath her breath but Amber still heard her. Amber chose to ignore her and led her kids outside. "Bye Aunt Sophia" Jenna and Elena said simultaneously. Sophia smiled and waved at them awaiting Jaden's own but he just simply gave a shirt wave and followed his mum outside. Sophia always found him weird but she just concluded he was the quiet type. She stretched her limbs and she moved upstairs to get ready.
