• Charlotte stood in front of Xavier's desk, she took a short glance at the file on his table curious to see what made him smile like that, she saw nothing interesting except a piece of document laying flat in front of him, "What's amusing in this? I found you smiling at it" Charlotte picked up the document and skimmed through it. The first thing she saw was the headline which read 'Bank statement', it was Xavier's bank statement accrued throughout the year, the huge figures shook her, Xavier was very wealthy. A thought struck her mind, she remembered the annual event for the declaration of the country's #1 Billionaire was around the corner. She might be out of her country for too long but that doesn't mean she was unaware of what goes on here. She stared at it again wondering if Xavier already knows he will be the next winner this year. She dropped it carefully and looked at him,"You already know you will win, don't you?" She wasn't stupid, only the winner gets to bring the proof so if Xavier was arranging his then it clearly means he knows he will be the next winner. Xavier nodded at her question and leaned back on his seat,"Yes I am". He couldn't help the smile that crept up on his face just by thinking of how this exposure was going to help him in his business at large. If more people invest in his company after this declaration then he was sure to hit a trillion dollars soon.
• "Congratulations, do not misplace the file so you don't bring trouble upon yourself" Charlotte said to him, even though she knew there was no way he would actually lose the file, that was his gateway to success right there in his hands, she knew he would carry his proof of wealth like an egg. And her thoughts were confirmed when Xavier said,"Why would I be foolish enough to lose it?" He pointed to the file on the table,"This right here is practically my life." He kept silent after that as if thinking of something, Charlotte noticed his silence,"What's up?" He looked back at her, he didn't know if she was going to do what he was about to tell her to but he could give it a try, he cleared his throat and said in a serious manner,"Do not tell my parents just yet about this, I want them to see me on National TV first especially my dad". His dad always cussed him out for not taking #1 place in the competition, now he wondered what his dad will have to say once he sees him emerge as the winner. Charlotte nodded in understanding, she didn't have time to gossip around with his parents anyway, she never actually really liked them, she was just trying to get close to his mum to find out things about Xavier and also that they could join forces and deal with Amber. Speaking of which, she looked towards Amber's chair again, it was empty. So she really went home? Charlotte knew if there was one thing Xavier hated, it would be wasting his time and money on Competent and lazy employees but Amber is the definition of both and he isn't even doing anything.
