• Xavier finally decided he had heard enough from her, "I never expected this from you" he said, stopping her from making any further hateful comments about Amber. Charlotte was surprised by what he was saying. "You know what Charlotte, I actually never thought you could be at fault and still lie to my face, I have heard enough from you, I think you should leave". Xavier didn't want to argue with her about the issue so he politely asked her out of his office. Charlotte's words got stuck in her throat, did he seriously just ask her to leave his office? He didn't even believe her when she was trying to defend herself but he believed Amber instead and even readily defended her. "Xavier, did you literally just ask me to leave?" Charlotte asked Xavier to confirm she wasn't hearing things, when he didn't answer she almost flared up,"How could you not believe me when I tell you that your secretary is lying and is trying to make me look like a bad person, she is trying to cause a rift between us and you just let her do as she pleases? Oh wow" Charlotte dry chuckled.
• Xavier must admit, he was slightly impressed by her performance and how she made herself look like a victim, if he hadn't seen the bruise with his own eyes, he would have believed Charlotte lies by now. The more Charlotte lied, the more she became despicable in his eyes, he could never be with such a person.
• Charlotte's voice cut him out of his thoughts,"Are you even listening to me?! How could you believe her so cluelessly when she has no proof to back up her accusation against me?" Charlotte was confident she would win this round, she was very sure Xavier didn't see the bruise, and Amber would most definitely not show him either after the severe warning. She smirked inwardly as she awaited Xavier's apology. But much to her dismay, Xavier began clapping, he clapped once, then twice. Charlotte was confused by his behavior. She didn't have to think why he was clapping because he already started talking," I must say Charlotte, I am really impressed by your act, you should have picked your last ounce of self respect and admitted to the truth but no, you blew it all up and now I don't think I can ever look at you the same again and yes if you must know, I saw the bruise you gave her on her upper arm, I found it hard to believe you could actually do such a thing but now I don't doubt it anymore".
