Chapter 39

• Xavier ran his hands across his face in frustration, he said those words out of impulse now he doesn't know what to do. He knew long ago the woman he was attracted to, Amber but the thought of her rejecting him was something he can't face. He still had a two month deadline anyway, he will try as much as possible to make her fall for him in the coming days. He was attractive, literally any woman will fall to her feet at the thought of him, so why not her? Why not the one he likes?
• He left the mansion and headed to his company, it's better he just engrossed himself in his work instead of thinking of the arrangements his parents made. He pulled up and parked his car properly in the garage. He then came out and headed to his office. He could hear some laughter as he approached the office. He opened the door to find Amber laughing out loud to a movie she was watching, she was so engrossed she didn't even hear him come in. Amber suddenly felt the presence of another person, she looked up to see the confused and amused face of Xavier.
• Xavier! When did he arrive? How come she didn't hear him come in? Oh no. She bowed her head in embarrassment at the thought of him watching her for the past few minutes, she was always a wreck when watching movies, always.
