• The silence only lasted for about 5 minutes before Breanna began talking again,"You know? I'm actually just seeing this Charlotte girl around here since she came back, she's not even as fine as how I thought she would be" Breanna said, shaking her head from side to side. Amber stifled a smile. True, Charlotte wasn't gorgeous and her character also was a NO. She wondered how Xavier would end up falling for that kind of girl. Just by thinking about it, she joined Breanna in shaking her head side to side. When Breanna didn't get any response from Amber, she decided to change the topic,"So Amber right? Tell me about yourself, We are colleagues anyway so we can get to know each other also". Amber thought for a while, then facing Breanna, she nodded saying,"Yeah that's true, well there's really not much about me, I am just a plain girl working for her money". It's not like she was going to tell Breanna she was a single mother of triplets whose father might not want them. That's if she wants her name on the lips of every employee in the company. Breanna nodded,"Oh I see, well I could say the same for myself anyway".
• Amber muttered a small 'Okay' thinking she was going to stop talking but as usual Breanna is unpredictable. "So, do you have a boyfriend?" Breanna asked out of nowhere. Good thing Amber swallowed her food before she heard it, she would have choked on it. Amber shook her head No. "So you are single. I wonder how you feel working with Xavier and getting to see his handsome face everyday knowing you too are single, how do you do it? Left for me I would have literally seduced him" Breanna said. Amber faced her,"I'm not attracted to him and I know better than to mess with billionaires so he's not my type" You know better huh? Amber silently mocked herself. She threw the question back at Breanna,"Are you single?" Breanna faced down,"Well, I'm pretty much single, got my heart broken a few months back, I literally fell for a billionaire knowing we weren't compatible" She clenched her fists just from remembering his face and name. She tried to lighten the mood a little by saying,"So if you have any gorgeous guy friends that are single, link me up okay?" Breanna winked. Amber smiled and nodded at her words. They finished eating and said their 'byes' and 'see you laters' to each other before Amber headed to Xavier's office.
• She knocked on his door twice. No response. Maybe he didn't hear it, she thought. She knocked again this time louder and still no response. She opened the door slowly and peeked in, his chair was empty, where had he gone in such a short time? She had no idea. She decided to make use of the free time he wasn't around to watch a movie. A Korean series. She wasn't done with her Alchemy of souls series anyway so now would be a perfect time. She inserted her airpod and just dived into the movie world.
