• Dante clapped his hand once drawing everyone's attention to him as he said,"Without further ado, let's go straight to the reason we are all here" Silence enveloped them as they waited for Dante to continue his words. Xavier watched as fixed his gaze on he and Charlotte, surely he didn't want to say what he's thinking right? "We are very much aware that our children are already successful in their spheres of life and so that should not be in their priorities right now, and they are both single and not getting younger so I suggest that we fix a date for the both of them to get engaged and married, after all they are both childhood friends so it's not like they would be getting married to a stranger right? Or what do you think?" He turned to face Charlotte's parents who nodded their heads in agreement to what he suggested. "I personally think it's a good idea, Charlotte has always liked Xavier anyway so this is a nice plan" Melissa said, making Charlotte blush. Did her mum really have to say that? Xavier looked at her, he had no idea Charlotte actually liked him then her performance earlier at his office was an act of jealousy, she was jealous of Amber because she thought they were having an office affair. Charlotte avoided Xavier's stare.
• "Okay since it's finalized by the parents, do you two have any objections?" Dante asked Xavier and Charlotte. Charlotte's heart skipped a beat, what if Xaviet said no? She wasn't stupid, she knew Xavier had no affections for her but she's madly in love with Xavier so she can make it work, after their marriage, he can grow to love her, she smiled at the idea of being Mrs De Vil. When Xavier didn't respond, they took his silence as confirmation. And Dante wasted no time in saying,"It's settled then, soon we will pick a date for it". Charlotte was surprised and happy he didn't refuse, does that mean he liked her a little bit? After the arrangements, they laughed and teased each other before they set out to leave. Xavier remained silent throughout.
• When the O'Neill's left the mansion, Nicole began to say to Xavier,"I knew you liked Charlotte from the start, you just needed a little push to realize that". She was also scared of Xavier's answer but fortunately he didn't refuse. It was such a relief. They would have been so embarrassed. Charlotte had called her earlier in an urgent tone that they should announce the arrangements they have made to Xavier fast. Charlotte was afraid Xavier might end up falling for his secretary. He doesn't let people get close to him but that girl was literally in his face and he wasn't repelled. She knew she had to do something fast and she had called up Nicole to do the announcement fast so it can be official at least. And fortunately, things went as planned.
