Chapter 75

• Like Natalia, or rather unlike Natalia, Corey had zero ideas why and when he had unconsciously let the latter into his life, his daily activities. He didn’t know why. He should have guessed it when he hadn’t felt disgusted when he met her for the first time and he had asked her to marry him. He should have known that when he didn’t have any explanation for his daily actions, kissing her on the forehead every morning, dragging her to sleep in his arms every night, wanting to come home early to listen to her talk, and every weird thing that he had zero explanations for.
• And even when he realized that he didn’t have normal feelings towards her, he stubbornly refused to admit it. He refused to accept the fact that he had fallen in love with her and he liked her. He was too embarrassed to admit it and even when he had found out that she had told him a huge lie, he couldn’t bring himself to destroy her or their marriage. He was so helpless that he didn’t know what to do.
• And when they had settled it and when Natalia had confessed to him that she liked him, he should have also told her then that he also liked her but Corey knew that he didn’t just like her; he loved her and her liking him back just wasn’t enough. So he hadn’t bothered to say anything until now when Natalia had confessed first again.
