Bidding good-bye to her parents proved to be a gruesome task. It didn't matter that it has only been days since they started talking properly after her return back home, and now she was going to miss them because the devil, in the form of a handsome man she was still head over heels in love with, showed up to her house and took that opportunity away from her.
Her talk with Venice wasn't compelling enough to convince her not to leave with Kai. However, she believed her best friend when she said Kai wouldn't file a lawsuit against her.
Although Kaia was just discovering this new demonic and inconsiderate side to Kai, she knew for a fact that he wasn't daft as to present her with a lawsuit, because if he did, she wouldn't waste a single breath and use his money to pay him off. Or better still, request that he takes the money he owed her as per their initial agreement and fucked the hell away from her. After all, he still owed her. Yeah, that sounded badass and she knew it will vex him.
