• “Welcome back, Mr. Sorrento. Mrs. Sorrento said to have you join her at the pool when you return,” one of the maids said to Kai just as he was heading up the stairs to his room.
• He didn’t miss the way his heart fluttered when the maid referred to Kaia as Mrs. Sorrento. It was something he could definitely see himself getting used to.
• “Alright, sure. Take this to my room, please,” he said, handing his briefcase to the maid before making a U-turn and heading to the pool.
