• Although she was confused out of her mind, Kaia followed the woman. Something told her this was Kai’s girlfriend—she fit the profile perfectly. Not that Kaia knew what kind of woman Kai typically dated, but the tailored black pants and sleek ponytail gave her the look of someone who could be.
• She was beautiful. Effortlessly so. Maybe it was makeup, maybe not—but whatever it was, the woman was drop-dead gorgeous.
• Kaia opened her mouth to speak but shut it again, unable to form any coherent sentence. Creating a scene had seemed like the only logical thing to do, but now that she’d gotten what she wanted, it all felt like a terrible idea.
