Chapter 9 A Party Invitation
- As Nora got into her room, she met Derek packing, but noticed in his expression that he was still brooding over what she said at breakfast. She felt the skin tightening on her face but knew that she would do herself no good by saying anything that could lead to an argument with him.
- “When are we leaving?” She asked, as her eyes darted round the room, just to avoid looking directly at Derek.
- As if he did not hear the question Nora had just asked, His face became grim, his eyes stern, and he suddenly said, “it will be better you beg your stars that I don't find your involvement in Nora's death, ‘cause if I do, You will be greatly punished for it.”
