• For two years, the Kingdom had held its collective breath, awaiting the moment their King would mark his Queen. Tonight, that moment finally arrived, and the air vibrated with anticipation. As the King's fangs sank into her skin, a uniform sigh of relief swept through the crowd, followed by thunderous applause.
• The Queen's soft gasp was audible, her eyes fluttering closed as a mix of pain and ecstasy washed over her. Her face glowed with a radiant joy, her lips curving into a gentle smile. The King's eyes, too, shone with happiness, his gaze burning with adoration as he marked his Queen, claiming her as his own.
• As the king finished marking Nora, a commotion at the entrance silenced the crowd. Everyone's bewildered gaze shifted from the King and the Queen to the disheveled and desperate woman that pushed through the crowd to get to where the King stood.
