Chapter 74 In Some Ways

A day after Kyle explained his situation to Kara, he took a week off from the palace, informing her that he wouldn't be coming in for the next seven days. He ha told Kara everything— about needing to meet Tamsin and his daughter, and how he was supposed to spend only a day with them.
However, Kara had initially invited Kyle to the fancy dress ball at the hospital, but he sent a message letter to Kara saying he had arranged to stay longer. There was a chance he would be able to travel back on Saturday, but just in case, he asked Kara to find someone else to use his ticket.
Kara couldn't tell from Kyle's voice whether or not the reunion had gone well.
