• "I don't get why Daphne called us here in the first place," Mira said to Marock. "She's been busy non-stop, darting from one meeting to another. I've barely seen her since we arrived."
• Marock 's expression turned serious. "I heard there's a man in custody. Apparently, Daphne sent him to harm Ashina."
• Mira raised an eyebrow. "Daphne's definitely capable of that, but I'm not convinced she did it," her voice laced with uncertainty.
