Chapter 51 Got The Message

• Morris stomped out of X-Rocco conglomerate angrily, never in his life has he been insulted or looked down on the way Mr. Luca was doing and he endured everything because he desperately wanted to work with the conglomerate but Mr. Luca broke the camel back when he did a background check on his conglomerate like who the hell is he to do that. Xiomara on the other hand was happy but she wasn't showing, it would be weird if she's happy when her boss is upset. "I will draft a proposal for....". "You don't have to, I would just take care of things my way," Morris said as he drove them out of the conglomerate. "Okay....." Xiomara simply said, she didn't have to worry about the proposal being bad, she was the CEO and would be the one reviewing it. "And that man, I'm going to deal with him," He muttered and Xiomara glimpsed at him enough to access his look, he had a stiff strict face and Xiomara knew he wasn't joking. The car pulled up in front of Morriox Conglomerate. "I have to go somewhere now, sorry we couldn't eat together, Mr. Luca totally ruined my mood but I would make it up to you," Morris said and Xiomara smiled, she knew it won't happen after the meeting besides she doesn't even want to eat with him. "It's fine, I also need to go see a friend," Xiomara said before she alighted from the car, she stood there until Morris's car was out of sight, she walked to her car and drove away heading straight to the police station. Xiomara glanced at her wristwatch as she patiently waited for the police to bring Ruby out. Minutes later, a woman who was looking like a shadow of herself walked out. "Hi Genesis, I never thought you did visit me," Ruby said and Smiled. Xiomara stared at her and couldn't believe she was the one, Ruby was looking unkempt and she sounded like someone too weak to talk. "Have you been eating?" Xiomara asked noticing how slim she was. Ruby smiled nodding her head. "Yes, the food here is so great," Ruby said and Xiomara shook her head negatively, what she said was just too hard to believe judging from the way she was looking. "I doubt if it's any good, I spoke to the police they said you've been released but you refuse to leave Why?" Xiomara asked. "Because I don't deserve freedom, they might not have pressed charges because we are family or think it's been a long it happened but that doesn't make what I did good so let me just stay here and atone for my sins," Ruby said.
• Xiomara stared at her, she could clearly see the remorse in everything Ruby did and said, she was truly sorry for what she did, not everyone realizes their mistake and decide to atone for them, some just seat back in their seat relaxing and enjoying life as if nothing had happened, but Ruby was different, she wasn't a monster, she was just a naive girl who made a grave mistake. "You don't have to stay here to show how remorseful you are, you have apologized and I'm sure you have been forgiven, you can't raise the dead," Xiomara said and Ruby let out a small laugh. "What makes you think I have been forgiven?" Ruby asked making Xiomara stare at him confused. "Let me ask you one question Genesis Dean, I know you aren't married or have a child yet but if you do someday and someone kills your only child and after ten years, the person comes back to beg, what would you do?" Ruby asked. Xiomara stared at her as her subconscious repeated the question over and over again until her brain processed it. How was she going to feel if one day someone kills Delfina, would she really forgive and let go of everything or even let Karma takes it cause, No she would never, she would take revenge upon that person and be that Karma, she had just gone wild and killed an entire family just because of an attempt on her daughter life which meant she would never forgive the generation that kills her child, she would make sure that not a single soul is left.
• "You see, we say things because we haven't found ourselves in such conditions before, I won't forgive who killed my child so I won't expect others to, that's why I said, Sorry doesn't solve all problems, that you said sorry doesn't mean you've been forgiven or the things you've done has been forgotten, it doesn't guarantee anything,"' Ruby said. Xiomara felt those words in her soul, she was out on revenge to kill those that murdered her parents and raped her but what if they all fall on her feet and ask for her forgiveness would she really forgive them or just put a bullet in their heart. "You are right, it doesn't solve anything, sorry doesn't solve everything and I admire you, Rebecca, you are one in a million that has committed many serious crimes yet you decided to atone for what you did, I hope you get through this rough time successfully," Xiomara said. "Thank you..." Ruby smiled. "How is Morris?" Ruby asked. "He's fine I guess, and I would love to tell you that I'm not dating Morris and I don't think I have plans to date him, I agree Genesis Dean once had a crush on him back in high school but not anymore and I can't possibly date him now that I'm friends with his ex-wife," Xiomara said and Ruby chuckled. "Don't let me stop you, Genesis, I would be in jail for a very long time so you are free to date and Marry him, I and Morris were never meant to be maybe that's why things never worked out, he was always cheating and it made me feel less of myself as a woman, as if I was never enough for him and would never be enough because the cheating and lying never stopped, that was why I didn't want him to have a female secretary especially one that know how to dress, it would be embarrassing and disrespectful to find out you are sharing your husband with the secretary so now that I'm out of the picture, you can go ahead," Ruby said and Xiomara smiled. She wasn't saying no to Morris because of Ruby or her husband Corrado, she was saying no because she didn't feel anything for Morris, right from high school, as Ursula Day, Morris always buys her goodies begging her to date him but she refused and dated Lucas instead, she just didn't like Morris for a lot of things, he was a bully and had a bad record above all her parents had warned her about him and now she just doesn't like him because she felt a strange and uncomfortable aura around him.
