Chapter 26 Shocked To The Bone

  • Xiomara let out an awkward smile on hearing Grethel, she turned towards her and smiled again. "Of course, I remember you, why won't I, you both are my two best friends and the only friends I have got" Xiomara fluttered her lashes trying to sound excited, Morris cleared his throat interrupting her. "Well, I think you have a lot of friends now" Morris smiled at her but Xiomara chuckled glancing at him before shifting her gaze to stare at Monalisa and Grethel. She had never imagined she would seat together with them not to talk of having a conversation with them.
  • "You look beautiful and your hair looks...straight" Monalisa touched Xiomara's hair feeling the texture. "Yeah, I got a new beauty brand, I'm no longer a high school nerd," Xiomara said, she didn't know how else to respond but what she didn't expect was Morris's words. "Yeah, she's now a 2.0 from the previous version,"
  • Xiomara looked at Grethel and Monalisa and noticed how uncomfortable they were with Morris's presence, but there was nothing she could do, she can't possibly ask Morris to leave. "So, how are you guys doing, it has been like ten years since we meet each other," Xiomara started a normal conversation hoping she flows well with it. "Thirteen years to be precise," Grethel said touching her Google lens. "Oh, yeah, I got the numbers mixed up," Xiomara said with a chuckle. "So you must be an accountant by now?" Monalisa asked. Xiomara fluttered her lashes racking her brain for a perfect lie, she never knew Genesis Dean wanted to be an accountant so Monalisa's question took her by surprise. "No, actually after my accident I switched to business school," Xiomara blurted, she didn't know how the lie came about but she knew it was a more convincing lie.
