Chapter 36 Under One Condition

• Glenn tried concentrating on his work after Xiomara left but he just couldn't as his mind kept replaying the conversation he had with the so-called Ursula Day. "Who the hell is she and why is she coming to threaten me?" Glenn asked but no one was close enough to answer him, even if someone was, no one dared to talk in front of him without being asked to. He loosened his tie resting on the chair when his phone beeped, he grabbed it, it was a text from his twin sister Glamour. "Mum asked, I remind you about the family lunch and you better don't be late also please, can you not bring your girlfriend over, I don't like her," Glenn exhaled deeply after reading the text, he had already forgotten about the family lunch. "I need to clear my head first before any other thing," Glenn said getting up. He walked over to grab his jacket when his phone beeped again, he snarled walking towards his phone, it was a text from his mum. "Bring Sasha over, your grandfather has been dying to see her" Glenn shakes his head vigorously and slid his phone into his pocket before walking out of his office.
• He walked outside the reception and meet Sasha Bank speaking with the receptionist "She never forgets does she?" Glenn thought looking at her. He had remembered that Sasha was with him when he had the family lunch conversation with Glamour but that was like a month ago and he never thought she would remember, even he didn't remember up until Glamour sent the reminder text. "Your two naughty receptionists refuse to let me in because I didn't book a reservation with you, Do I now need to book a reservation to see my boyfriend," Sasha complained giving him the cute puppy eyes which didn't suit her at all. "What happened to calling?" Glenn asked not finding fault at what they did, that was the instructions he gave them and the expectation they did earlier in the day almost got them into trouble so they were obviously trying to avoid another problem. "Call?" Sasha asked feeling a little bit embraced. "I left the phone I had saved your contact in with my secretary and I can't recite it off hand," Sasha said looking around and she didn't fail to notice how everyone was staring at her. "Babe, is that all you have to say, they kept your girlfriend outside because of one stupid reservation, you know we should make our relationship public to avoid embarrassment like this in the future," Sasha said increasing the pitch of her tune, she wanted Glenn to sanction the receptionist for keeping her outside but Glenn cared less, he obviously had more important things in his mind. He just stared at Sasha for a while before turning to stare at the two receptionists. " For Today's misconduct, 25% deducted from your monthly salary," Glenn said and walked out. Sasha smiled turning towards the two receptionists "Did you both hear that 25% was deducted from your monthly salary for keeping me waiting outside and if by tomorrow I don't get a formal apology from both of you, I would convince him to increase it to 30%, Do I make myself clear," Sasha boasted in a loud voice for others to hear "yes ma'am" they responded in unison, they knew quite well that the deduction wasn't because of their encounter with Sasha Banks but because of their encounter with the unknown woman they had led into his office but of course, they had to oblige with what Sasha had said because she had the power to pressurize him to take off another 5% making it a total of 30% deducted. Sasha smirked feeling very satisfied "good," she said before running after Glenn.
• Anna stared from Xiomara to the mask in her hand, no matter how hard she try to deny it, Xiomara was right, no one would believe her, she wasn't manipulative like the Ursula Day she used to know and from what she was seeing it didn't look like she has changed besides she had the upper hand there. "What do you want?" Anna asked, she couldn't think of a more appropriate question to ask at that time. Xiomara smiled dropping the mask "That's more like it, Anna oops, I mean Genesis Dean, we are now on the same page," Xiomara said. "Hmm, you asked what I want?, what do I want?, what does Ursula Day want?" Anna stared at her waiting patiently and curiously to know what this is really about and at the same time praying it was something she could afford, she knew quite well how greedy rich people could be. "It depends on what you are asking Anna, what do I want from you or what do I want from everybody?" Xiomara asked looking at her. Anna didn't say a word to her rather she just maintained eye contact with her. She used to be scared of Ursula Day and Eleanor Swinton back then in high school and now she was staring eyeball to eyeball with her again, and she found herself being scared of her again. "Don't be scared Anna, I'm not going to hurt you, I just came back to have my own pound of flesh for what happened years back during our prom night and also to find my parent's killers," Xiomara said. "Prom night, you attended the prom night?" Anna asked and Xiomara shot her a surprised look "duh, who didn't attend the prom night?" Xiomara asked sarcastically but then frowned at Anna's response "you didn't, what happened? You couldn't buy yourself a ball grown or no one asked you out for prom?" Xiomara asked wondering why she didn't attend, it was a school function and not some sort of private party for her to say she wasn't given an invite. "My mum doesn't believe in parties, she is a born-again believer and she thinks parties are for children of darkness," Anna said and Xiomara nodded her head. "That's interesting, no wonder you are nerdy, I wonder if anyone actually asked you out for prom," Xiomara said. "Of course, Felix did, he asked me to be his prom queen," Anna said feeling a bit proud which made Xiomara snicker. "Yeah yeah, what was I expecting, isn't he also nerdy like you and just for the records, you were his second option because he asked me out first and I turned him down before he came for you," Xiomara commented. "Wow, I didn't know about that but he is no longer a nerd like me," Anna said grabbing her phone, she searched for Felix's picture and then showed it to Xiomara who just stared at the picture awed in surprise. "OMG he is hot" Xiomara couldn't help but admire him out loud. "I know right, he joined the modelling agency after high school and became popular, but just take your eyes off him, he has two baby mamas who keep fighting over him," Anna said. "That's intense," Xiomara commented.
