Chapter 39 A New Car

• I had no choice but to talk to Nathan. I recounted what happened the previous night and what I suspected the man to be. He didn’t believe me. He said it was impossible, and he doesn’t have warlocks or demons beneath the company building. He asked his officials to investigate and check the surveillance videos in the lobby of the main entrance of the building, as no cameras were installed in the lower levels.
• Although his father’s grandfather built the building during his time as the head Alpha of the River Bed Pack, the underground holding cells were rarely used. They have a separate dungeon for rogues and prisoners from enemy packs in a good thirty-minute run deep into the forest. It is the precaution taken by the former Alpha to keep the prisoners as far from the packhouse as possible.
• For whatever reason, Nathan also doubts why he ordered the earlier prisoner rogues to be held under the pack company holding cells instead of the forest dungeon.
