Chapter 22 Vision Or Nightmare?

• It was ten in the morning when Nico and his men gathered in the living room of the cottage. It’s the only place they get food and drinks. All the other huts are built solely for sleeping. They all look distracted. Nico gives them a bird’s eye view of the danger they might face soon. The usual jolly atmosphere after the morning training session is not there today. Dark circles are visible under Agatha’s eyes, and she hardly raises her head.
• “Do we get your signature bitter tea today?” Nico winked to ease the tension.
• She reciprocates with a forced chuckle, glad to break her depressive train of thought. “You should drink something cold and sweet in this weather, not bitter and hot, but sure! It will be ready in a few minutes.” She got up from her rocking chair and walked toward the kitchen. The boys exchanged serious gazes in silence.
