Chapter 17 The Investigation

• Dr. Tim ordered the hospital staff to move Nathan back to his VIP room and reattach the wires to monitor his condition. Nick instructed the doctor to perform various blood tests, an MRI, an ECG, and a CT scan to make sure that the silver and wolfsbane were completely out of his system with no complications or internal damage. He also assigned two of his best warriors to guard the door of the Alpha’s room. Dr. Tim promised not to allow medical staff to enter Nathan’s room without his instructions. Only Nick and Dr. Tim can visit the Alpha. Now that the former alpha is dead, they must ensure Nathan’s fast recovery.
• Nick suggested that Luna Elaine should get involved in preparing for the former Alpha’s funeral and focus on the pack matters while Nathan is recovering, and she agreed easily.
• Nathan regained consciousness after eight hours. Timothy refused to sign his discharge form from the pack hospital, saying his symptoms resembled those of his father during his first day of confinement, and they had to perform a series of tests to ensure his recovery.
