Chapter 33 Have You Gone Rogue?
- I tried to make it right for Nico's remaining team members. After much pleading, I convinced Aleck to accommodate them in the roster of pack warriors. They are good fighters. I saw them train, but in the end, they refused the offer.
- I gave them two mobile phones with a year's worth of access to a network and the internet. I promised to help them with whatever I could if they were in a tight situation, and they agreed, but I don’t think they will ask me for help. They’re too broken to lose what they regard as family. It’s heartbreaking to see the guilt and sadness in their eyes, guilt for surviving while others did not.
- They almost declined the pocket money I gave them before leaving the pack. They need money to survive. It is unwise to be seen near any pack border again. I told them to go to a place with a high human population to cool down while waiting for Nico and Agatha. I don’t know what’s running through their heads, but I can't force them to trust the Alpha whose warriors massacre the members of their group.
