Chapter 40 The Battle Cry

• In front of Viktor were his siblings they were utilizing their gifts that they had been training while they were trapped in the dome when their mother had activated the barrier. The siblings including the triplets were able to destroy the barrier when they each hd laid their hands on energy force. Odette was picking up speed as she ran alongside of the wall then crashing into the creatures though they snapped and snarled at her it was her brother with great force launched his body through the creature's flesh and GAvin was on all fours covered with blood and the remains ofthe creature. Friedrich and Einar using their blades so that they wouldn't hit the children who were scrimmaging the hostile creatures. Gavin felt a creature's teeth sinking into his flesh as the child crying out in pain twisted his body as his claws through the creature's face, ripping and tearing through till Gavin was able to free himself. Helene feeling the anger grow in her body just at it had done before and from her body red shards shot through the creatures that were still coming. Layla seeing her older brother injured she bit into her wrist and as she had seen her mother had done before, Layla let her blood flow into her brother's wound. Blackness was rushing rapidly through Gavin's veins and that was when Odette sunk her teeth into her brother's wound and then pulling away as blackness began coming out, it looked as though it was floating but it was Odette whose eyes were glowing red as she focused her energy on pulling out the blackness from her brother so that he wouldn't be tainted. Once every bit of the blackness was out of him, she then turned to the torches and sent the blackness into the flames to be burned. Again, Layla made another attempt to heal her brother and this time he healed quickly. Einar holding the guns as the children were taking care of their brother as Friedrich and Esmeralda were watching the rear. Viktor helping his sister up who had just slayed the creatures that were coming towards their younger siblings.
• "What was that all about?" Einar in his thick Viking accent when Layla looked up, "These creatures are not like the creatures we were dealing with when we broke the barrier. These creatures are not of this world."
• Viktor turned to his younger sister, "These are demons. Pure evil. They must have another portal that they can come and go. I thought we destroyed the only one."
