Chapter 23

• He led the way down to the basement where there were other Lycans and werewolves. They all stared her, but they got a whiff of her and knew that Dave had marked her as his mate. They continued to eat. She saw a few that again had bounties on them, but he went to sit down at a booth that was reserved for him and whoever came with him. She sat down across from him as he leaned back not only watching her but the others in the room. A few recognized her as they glared over but Dave's eyes flashed letting them know that he wouldn't shy away from a fight. A few of his soldiers were here and they moved closer to their general. One of the other alphas came over, "You brought a Halfbreed here? She is a hunter."
• "She is retired."
• "She killed my sister twenty years ago." He snarled at Ariel, but Dave and his soldiers stood up, "She is protected and my mate."
