Chapter 37 The Battle Plan

• Ariel pulled her hood back revealing her nearly white with grey marble eyes looking to the energy of the room. Next to her was Viktor, whose blood was now awakened by his ancestors that were coursing through his veins. Gafford and Derek knew that the talk of war was now over, that there was no turning back. Those who were Lycans and werewolves began to kneel for the were in the presence of the Highborn. Phoenix stepped forth, "You are Ariel, queen of the Gargoyles and now..."
• Ariel looked at the one that wore the symbol of the Phoenix, "I am Justice. We call upon those who are willing to risk their lives, only those who are willling to fight and understand the cost will be great. I do not want those trying to be a hero or those that are not willing to sacrifice. Mutants, mortals, and creatures we have lost many in battle but the war is not over. Who amongst you will be willing to answer the call. Who will stand with us?"  
• Phoenix watched as very few stood up and came forward along with the serpents though not as many came forward. Her eyes went back to Ariel, "There are not many warriors Ariel. We don't have enough weapons, and humans are not well armed against creatures that are even stronger than the best of the Elites. We cannot win this."
