Chapter 31 The Shadows Awakening

• Stephen watching his plans unfolding as the creatures who had forgotten the old ways were either joining his forces or they were part of the resistance. Humans now were understanding that they were not the only ones who could rule the world or no longer top of the food chain, that there was a high power that was making itself known, and Stephen was on the path of becoming the supreme being. His brother's soul was moving inside the vessel as the witches had made it possible for him to move through different planes never remaining in one body.
• "Brother it's time."
• He pushed the lever as his brother awakened the spirits of old that were asleep now were moving through the portals, their screeching and moved like puddles of oil only hands puling themselves up and once they were regaining their strength were making their way outside. Creatures that had been killed were brought back here as the screeching, shadows were climbing into the empty vessel reanimating the dead bodies. Women who were killed by the ghouls were now awake and hungry as they moved outside. Stephen had his men on the other side of the gates as they watched as the dead raising up and heading out to hunt the living. Those who were in the domes were amongst the few that was safe. It was those who were wondering were now about to be eaten or worse turned into the living dead. Stephen turned to the witches who were giving the power of the ancient vampires that had been drained and they started summoning the dead who were in the graves as Stephen and his allies watched the world being destroyed. His concubines that were primordial wolves were chained and soon the others would be joining them. He wanted to create his armies, but he needed to make sure there was no one else that could stand against him. His brother smiled at him as Stephen held the phial and he began drinking the entire bottle as the power of the ancients infused with his bloodlines. There was no one else with his strength but he didn't know that Ariel had already drank her phial and was preparing the others for the fight of their lives.
