Chapter 17 There Are Others?

• The other set of Arkians that marched out of the forest are not like the Ram Arkians or the giants Arkians. They are way different from the giant Arkians and the Ram Arkians.
• King Hartley, the other Kings, the princes, head General Ben, assistant General Suci, Queen Rebeca, priestess Mary, the other generals, and the army didn’t see the other set of Arkians at first because the archers, Queen Rebeca, and priestess Mary were busy stopping the Ram Arkians from getting to the battlement while the others were watching how the battle fares.
• The other set of Arkains moved through the second group of Arkians to the first group and they stopped closer to the wall behind the giant Arkains who were not attacking except the Ram Arkians that were climbing the wall. Head General Ben was the first to spot the other set of Arkians before everyone on the battlement did. King Hartley asked what the other set of Arkians were but no one was able to identify them because it was dark then head General Ben ordered the archers to shoot the other set of Arkians too.
• Some of the archers continued shooting their arrows at the Ram Arkians that were climbing the wall to get to the battlement while the other archers shot their arrows at the other set of Arkians but it never got to them because the giant Arkians in front of them were protecting them with their wings.
• Seeing the giant Arkians were protecting the other set of Arkians from the archers, head General Ben ordered all the archers to focus on the Ram Arkians climbing the wall. The archers stopped shooting their arrows toward the other set of Arkians and joined the other archers to continue shooting the Ram Arkians.
• The fact that no soldiers were lost on their side while many Arkians had been killed was a joy to King Hartley, the other Kings, the princes, and the generals but then everyone on the battlement saw arrows coming out of nowhere toward them.
• Everyone in the battlement did not notice the strange arrows coming at them until the arrows got close to them. Seeing the strange arrows coming toward them, many took cover behind the battlement wall so as not to get hit by the strange arrows except Queen Rebeca and priestess Mary who didn’t hide behind the battlement block and protect themselves from the arrows with their magic because that have to keep stopping the Ram Arkains being thrown from getting to the battlement or over the wall, but still, some soldiers got killed by the strange arrows before they could hide.
• Everyone in the battlement was confused by where the strange arrows came from but then the archers stood up back and continued shooting the Ram Arkians to make sure they didn’t make it to the battlement because the Ram Arkians were about to get to the battlement immediately the archers stopped shooting and hide behind the battlement block so they don’t get hit by the strange arrows.
• King Hartley, the other Kings, head General Ben, the princes, and the other generals stood up wondering where the strange arrows came from looking at all the Arkians but they didn’t know where it came from. Head General Ben took one of the arrows that almost killed them and saw it was dark arrows made of ice just then King Hartley asked “who the hell shot the arrows?”.
• No one could answer King Hartley's question but then head General Ben showed King Hartley, the other Kings, the princes, and the other generals the strange arrow. They were all surprised to see such kind of arrow because that was their first time seeing such an arrow, then King Neur said “this arrow is not from our world”.
• “If it is not from here then it was from where?” asked King Kung Lim.
• Just then they all heard Queen Rebeca and priestess Mary say out loud to everyone “take cover”.
• Hearing that, they all looked forward to seeing the strange dark arrows coming toward them again and they all took cover behind the battlement block to protect themselves from the strange dark arrows. The archers could not continue shooting their arrows a the Ram Arkians climbing the wall because the strange dark arrows were continuously shot toward the battlement so they all had to remain behind the battlement block not to get hit by the strange dark arrows except Queen Rebeca and priestess Mary who protect themselves with their magic from the strange dark arrows and at the same time, stopping the Ram Arkians being thrown from getting to the battlement or over the wall.
• While they all remained hidden so as not to get hit by the strange dark arrows, head General Ben peeped from the battlement block to know who it was that was shooting the strange dark arrows and he saw the strange dark arrows coming from the other set of Arkians station behind the giants Arkians. Head General Ben was shocked and couldn’t believe his eyes seeing where the strange dark arrows were coming from because all the Arkians couldn't shoot arrows. Head General Ben thought it could not have been Arkians shooting the strange dark arrows but the humans that had joined sides with the Arkians.
• Head General Ben was about to tell King Hartley, the other Kings, the princes, and the other generals what he saw but then the Ram Arkians get through the wall to the battlement and they all have to fight.
• Since the archers were no longer shooting their arrows while protecting themselves from the strange dark arrows, many of the Ram Arkians speedily and safely got to the battlement but then they were met by the leaders and the combat soldiers.
• Immediately they all saw the Arkians get to the battlement, King Hartley, the other Kings, head General Ben, the princes, the other generals, and the combat soldiers unsheathed their swords and attacked the Ram Arkians. At the same time, the strange dark arrows stopped being fired toward the battlement because of the Ram Arkians that were in the battlement.
• Immediately the strange dark arrows stopped being fired toward the battlement, the archers returned to their job and continued to shoot the Ram Arkians that hadn't gotten to the battlements and were still climbing the wall to get to the battlement.
• It was as if the Ram Arkians that got to the battlement had someone controlling their minds (if they had a mind) because they were mostly attacking and killing the archers on the battlement instead of the combat soldiers and their leaders to make sure more Ram Arkians safely get to the battlement.
• Seeing what they were doing, head General Ben told the combat soldiers to protect the archers from the Arkains no matter what so they could continue shooting the Ram Arkians that were still climbing the wall to get to the battlement. The archers also never stop shooting the Ram Arkians even though a few of them have been killed and wounded knowing they are the ones they trust to help save Arcadian so they were all ready to die while fighting.
• Queen Rebeca and priestess Mary wished to join the leaders and the combat soldiers fighting the Ram Arkains in the battlement but they couldn’t leave what they were doing because there were enough Ram Arkians on the battlement and few Ram Arkians are still get through the wall to the battlement so they can’t allow more Arkians to get to the battlement.
• Queen Rebeca and priestess Many weren’t left by the Ram Arkians, they were also attacked by the Ram Arkians but the Ram Arkians were unable to do anything to them because of their magic. All of the Ram Arkians that attacked the two priestesses were killed by their magic.
• The battle lasted till morning before all the remaining Arkians retreated to the forest and that was when King Hartley, the other Kings, head General Ben, Queen Rebeca, priestess Mary, the princes, the other generals, and the remaining soldiers saw what the other set of Arkians were like which made them more terrified.
• At the time that all the remaining Arkians retreated, many combat soldiers and archers had been killed and wounded just like many Ram Arkians had been killed. The soldiers that didn’t fight last night were stationed at the battlement while the ones that fought left with the head King, the other Kings, the great general, the head Queen, the priestess, the princes, and the other generals back into the city.
• Upon getting to the city, the wounded soldiers were given orders to be fed and rested, and those wounded were also treated, fed, and rested. The head King, the other Kings, the great general, the head Queen, the priestess, the princes, and the generals also eat, bathe, and rest before they hold another council meeting.
• The head King, the other Kings, the great general, the head Queen, the priestess, the princes, and the soldiers rested till afternoon before another council was called but Queen Rebeca and priestess Mary weren’t part of the council meeting.
• The prime minister of the Arcadian kingdom was the first to talk in the council hall and he said to King Hartley “your royal majesty, the people are all afraid. They are demanding to know how the battle fares and how long it would take before we all leave Arcadian”.
• “Tell the people to do as they are told and stop questioning my authority. The soldiers are out there laying down their lives for their safety so the people should remain prepared until I give the order that it is time to leave. The people should also not worry about how the battle fares. That is not their job. Tell them we are handling things fine and they should worry about things that matter not the ones that don’t concern them” said King Hartley with annoyance to the ministers.
• “Yes, your royal majesty” said all the ministers.
• “You all should learn how to control and handle the people. What we have at hand is more dangerous at the present to be worrying about other things” said King Jeff to the ministers.
• King Hartley asked head General Ben “how many soldiers do we lose?”.
• “We lost 150 thousand archers and 300 thousand combat soldiers to the Arkians but we didn’t lose that much without killing up to a million Arkians” said head General Ben.
• “What about the wounded soldiers?” King Hartley asked the generals.
• “Every of them has been treated and they can still fight” said General Dre to King Hartley.
• King Hartley was glad to hear that and he said “we need the archers more. They are the only ones that can make us last till the full moon. I never knew the power of bows and arrows was up to this”.
• “Your royal majesty is right but I have a suggestion to protect the archers. I know you might all think what I am about to say not to be a good suggestion. I know the shields have been deserted a long time before many past generations were even born because it was said that the shields were not useful to the army when fighting the Arkians, but I think we would return the shields now” said assitant General Suci.
• “Why should we return to using something that was deserted because it was not useful to the army when fighting the Arkians?” asked King Zuch.
• “Why should we not? You all could see the new Arkians that the new Arkians are in the shape of humans and can use bows and arrows. If not to exaggerate, I am sure they can even use swords. At first, I thought it was the humans who sided with the Arkians that were shooting the arrows but upon seeing them, I was shocked and more scared. It is hard to battle the Grim Arkians and now we have Arkians that are created like us, is that not frightening enough?” said head General Ben worriedly.
• “The great General and the assistant General are right. We should be scared. The new Arkians have hands and legs like us even though they are not humans which is why they can use bows and arrows. This is to show that whoever is creating the Arkians is also studying us which is how he/she was able to create Arkians in our image and made sure they can use weapons like ours. The person is making sure he/she uses everything he has to eradicate us” said King Hartley.
• Everyone in the hall reasoned what the great General and the head King said to be right. Head General Ben said “now that we have Arkians in our shape that can shoot arrows, we have to return the shields. We need the shields to be used as cover for the archers so the shields can protect the archers from the dark arrows and so they can be able to shoot their arrows at the Ram Arkians. But………….”
• Head General Ben was cut short of words as Queen Rebeca and priestess Mary barged into the council hall and walked toward the head King. Queen Rebeca and priestess Mary stopped in front of the head King, then Queen Rebeca said “we are in big trouble, your royal majesty”.
• Everyone wondered what the head Queen meant by that, then priestess Mary said “the Arkians that we saw shooting arrows was actually the first ever Arkians to be created but kept hidden for a reason. We are also wrong in calling the Grim Arkians the deadliest Arkians because there are not. There are no words enough to describe how dangerous and deadliest the first-ever created Arkians are. They are also called the Damn Arkians”
• Hearing that made everyone crazily terrified and they all wondered if they were truly going to survive until the full moon.
