Chapter 16 Thr Grim Arkians

• Everyone was seated and present in the council hall, including the head Queen and priestess Mary. There was silence in the hall as everyone hadn’t gotten over the shock of the giant Arkians that saw and what the giant Arkians could do. Everyone thought of what would become of their fate now that the Arkians had giant Arkians that could throw the other Arkians with their tails from the ground to the battlement of the wall and even over the wall, and the giant Arkians also had wings which they spread high to protect themselves from arrows because the wings can’t be penetrated by the arrows.
• King Neur broke the silence in the hall by asking Queen Rebeca “is there no way we can speed things up concerning the leaving of our world?”,
• Queen Rebeca shakes her head saying “no, there is not. We need the full moon. Without the full moon we can not leave. We are stuck at the moment”.
• King Kung Lim said “then how do we survive against the giant Arkians and the other Arkians out there? I am sure no one was expecting all that we saw happened out there”.
• No one answers King Kung Lim's question because no one knows how they are going to survive the Arkians. King Jeff said “we still have a chance to run. The Arkians are only blocking the west, why don’t we pack our things and run through the east gate”.
• “And go to where? There is nowhere we can go to anymore. If we leave the Arcadian, the Arkians are going to come after us and we will be vulnerable because we will want to fight the Arkians in an open battle, and that will only cause the death of everyone including the people. We are currently out of option of running” said head General Ben.
• Some seconds later, King Hartley asked Queen Rebeca “how do you know about the giant Arkians?”.
• “Yeah, mother. You arrived exactly at the right time or else we would have suffered a great defeat” said Prince Ranork to Queen Rebeca.
• “Surprisingly, there is a book that knows about the Arkians, and judging by the look of the book, it existed before the coming of the first-ever Arkians. Priestess Mary had a dream of the book being magically hidden in the first-ever priest’s room, and then she went to find it” said Queen Rebeca.
• Everyone in the hall was surprised to hear that, then head General Ben asked Queen Rebeca “So you are saying, the first-ever priest owns the book that talks about all the Arkians. This is you confirming that the first-ever priest knows the Arkians way before the portal in the sky was opened”.
• “Yes. The book does not only talk about the Arkians, but it also talks about other creatures that do not exist in our world” said Queen Rebeca.
• “If you are saying the truth right now. How come the first priest never said anything or gave a heads up concerning the Arkians?” King Duran asked Queen Rebeca.
• “We don’t know the reason why. He must have kept the existence of the Arkians for a reason only known to him. I and the head Queen also think that there is a probability that the Arkians and the first priest came from the same world” said Priestess Mary.
• Everyone was confused to hear that, then King Hartley asked priestess Mary and the head Queen “why would you both think that?”.
• “First of all, the portal opened after the last battle between the priests which resulted in their death. It was known that it was their magical powers that opened up the portal in the sky, and since then we have been welcoming Arkians into our world. The priests/priestesses possess magical powers and the book says the Arkians are beings that are created through dark magic. The priests/priestesses and the Arkains are both magic so that can’t be a coincidence. We think the first-ever priest and the Arkians came from the same magical world. A world where magical creatures and magic exist which is why the priests' magical powers opened up a world similar to their power” said Queen Rebeca.
• Everyone in that hall remembered what Queen Rebeca said and thought it might be true, then Assistant General Suci asked the two priestesses “but it was never recorded that the first ever priest came from a portal”.
• “Yes. We think the portal the first priest came from was a one-way portal. Which is a portal that can only be used once and once used, it closes up back unlike the portal in the sky that remains stagnant and refuses to close up. We think whosoever is controlling the Arkians made sure the portal is unable to close up so he/she can continue to send the Arkians over” said Queen Rebeca.
• There was silence in the hall again as everyone thought about what the two priestesses had said before King Zuch broke the silence and asked the priestesses “how many worlds are there?”.
• “We don’t know about that. It was never believed that there were other worlds apart from ours not until a while ago so we don’t know how many worlds there are” said Queen Rebeca.
• “How are we also sure that the world we are going to is not the Arkians' world?” General Faruk asked the priestess.
• “They are not the same. The world we are going to have this similar energy to us which makes the world identical to our world. Our world is not magical so if they both have similar energy means the world is also not a magical world unlike that of the Arkians” said Queen Rebeca.
• “It would be nice if we don’t end up in the Arkians world. But surviving until the full moon now seems hard” said General Heron.
• “How are the Arkians right now?” King Hartley asked all the generals.
• “They are still in the forest where they retreated. There hasn’t been any movement from them. It looks like they are now acting like humans. They seem to be recovering their energy before they attacked us again” said assistant General Suci.
• “What about their size?” King Jeff asked the generals.
• “Their number remained unknown. They remained scattered in the forest so we won’t be able to estimate their size” said General Baci.
• Head General Ben asked the priestesses “did the book talk about how the Arkians can be defeated?”
• “No. The books only talk about the different Arkians that existed and the world they are from which is called Argh. The giant Arkians are called the Grim Arkians while the other Arkians are called the Ram Arkians. The Grim Arkains are known to be the deadliest Arkians that exist and killing them seems impossible because of their three tails and four arms they used to attack, their size, and their wings which are impenetrable by any weapon because of the hard scale their wings is made of. I am sure you all saw why the Grim Arkians are deadly. They can transport the Ram Arkians through the air to a destination with the use of their three tails they will wrap around the Ram Arkians and throw them over” said priestess Mary.
• Hearing that only made the people in the hall more anxious and King Rahim said “I wish there was a way we could stop the Arkians from being thrown over to our side”.
• “There is actually a way” said Prince Ragon.
• Everyone was surprised to hear Prince Ragon say that and they all looked at him to see he was being serious about what he said. King Hartley asked Prince Ragon “What way might that be?”.
• Before answering King Hartley's question, Prince Ragon asked the priestesses “is there a way to make the magical wall you create with your magic remain stand still when you create it?”.
• “No, we can’t. We can only create a temporary magical wall” said Queen Rebeca.
• After hearing Queen Rebeca's answer, Prince Ragon said “we can not prevent the Ram Arkians from being sent to us but we can stop them from getting to us with the help of the priestesses”.
• Everyone reasoned what Prince Ragon said and some understood what Prince Ragon said while some did not so Prince Ragon was told to explain better. Prince Ragon said “the priestesses possess magic so we don’t need them to fight with us. All we need them to do is to use their magic to stop the Ram Arkians that would be thrown from getting to us by creating magical walls that are going to hit the Ram Arkians back”.
• Hearing Prince Ragon, everyone was surprised that none of them could even think about that and reasoned what he said to be very logical. Prince Ragon was praised for his advice and told he was very smart by everyone in the hall including Prince Ranork, head General Ben, and King Hartley.
• King Hartley asked the priestesses if they would like to help the army and they agreed to since the full moon is until next month. King Hartley asked the generals if they knew about the number of the Grim Arkians and they said no but the Ram Arkians are many than the Grim Arkians.
• The next time the Arkians attacked the west gate great wall was during the afternoon but they were all on the west great wall battlement waiting for the Grim Arkians and the Ram Arkians.
• This time around all the Arkians separate themselves into two groups. The two groups consist of both the Grim and the Ram Arkians. The first group was led by the Grim Arkians and behind them were the Ram Arkians who followed the Grim Arkians as they marched slowly toward the wall. The second group was also led by the Grim Arkians and behind them were the Ram Arkians but they didn’t advance.
• At first, all the archers were shooting the first group of Arkians that were advancing toward the wall slowly but then head General Ben told them to stop shooting since the arrows the archers were shooting were fruitless because they couldn't penetrate the Grim Arkians' wings which were raised high to protect the Arkians from the arrows.
• The archers waited for the first group of Arkians to get to the wall and began to climb the wall to get to the battlement before they began to shoot their arrows. At the same time, the second group of Arkians began their attack, the Grim Arkians began to use their tails to throw the Ram Arkians toward the battlement.
• The Grim Arkians didn’t join the Ram Arkians that were climbing the wall to attack so it was easy for the archers to stop the Ram Arkians from making it through the wall to the battlement with their arrows targeting their heads and necks. Even though the Ram Arkians were very fast while climbing the wall, the archers made sure they shot them dead with their arrows so they wouldn’t get to the battlement.
• The Grim Arkians continue wrapping their tails around the Arkians and throwing the Ram Arkians toward the wall to get the Ram Arkians to battlement or over the great wall but Queen Rebeca and priestess Rebeca make sure the Ram Arkians never get to the battlement or over the wall. Queen Rebeca and priestess Mary would wait for the Ram Arkians that were thrown toward the battlement by the Grim Arkians to get closer to the battlement on air before they created magical walls that were going to hit them back. Once the Ram Arkians got hit by the magical walls the Ram Arkians would fall to the ground.
• Some of the Arkians that got hit by the magical walls died once they hit the ground while some didn’t and they joined the Ram Arkains on the ground to climb the wall.
• King Hartley, the other Kings, the princes, and the generals were happy with the way the battle fares because the archers who were commanded by the great general made sure the Ram Arkians that climbed the wall never got to the battlement, and the Ram Arkians that was thrown was never able to get to the battlement or over the great wall because Queen Rebeca and priestess Mary was making sure of that.
• The battle continued till nightfall and no soldiers were lost to the Arkians because the archers, Queen Rebeca, and priestess Mary made sure of that but then another terrifying Arkians marched out of the forest to attack Arcadian.
