Chapter 12 What Should Be Done

• The Kynite Kingdom was attacked unexpectedly by the Arkians in the night and the armies who were led by King Kung Lim tried to defend the city from the Arkians' invasion with the great wall but they could only try. At the beginning of the battle, King Kung Lim and all the generals of the Kynite kingdom knew they were going to lose the battle because the Arkains were way faster, deadlier, and stronger than the Arkians they had been fighting. They knew they had no chance at the Arkians so General Faruk of the Kynite kingdom told King Kung Lim to escape the kingdom with the people while he held off the Arkians with the army.
• King Kung Lim didn’t want to leave his army behind but he had no choice so he could save the people. General Faruk, some generals, and the army kept the Arkians so King Kung Lim, some generals, and some soldiers could escape with the people.
• The Arkians took over the Kynite kingdom overnight killing all the army of the Kynite Kingdom that tried to stop them because their force was unstoppable.
• Hearing the news of what had become of the Kynite kingdom saddened the heart of King Kung Lim, the remaining soldiers, the generals, and the people. The Kynite people could not go back to their kingdom so King Kung Lim led them to the Arcadian Kingdom.
• ARCADIAN
• Everyone in the council hall stood up on their feet when they heard about the defeat of the Kynite kingdom from the messenger. It was shocking news to everyone and that made them all anxious. King Hartley asked the messenger “are you sure about what you are saying?”.
• “Yes, your royal majesty” said the messenger, and that saddened the heart of everyone in the hall.
• “How can this be possible when all the Arkians had been defeated?” said the prime minister in disbelief.
• “This shows that the Arkians hadn’t been truly defeated and they are more” said the minister for whispers.
• “And we have the great general to thank for preparing the army at hand. With them we can be able to battle the Arkians” said a general.
• “That is not going to help in any way. We all need to start packing our things and prepare to leave” said assistant General Suci worriedly.
• “What do you mean by we should run? You need to elaborate on what you have been saying” said the assistant prime minister to assistant General Suci.
• “The Arkians that are………..” said assistant General Suci.
• Assistant General Suci was cut short of words because head General Ben cut in saying to the ministers and generals “you all need not mind the assistant General. His mind hadn’t settled since he was attacked by the Arkains and barely survived. Right now he is scared of the Arkians which is why he talking about us running but you need not worry. We have always defeated the Arkains and we will again. The Kynite kingdom must have let their guards down which is why they were conquered but that won't happen with us and the other kingdoms”.
• Assistant General Suci was surprised by what head General Ben said concerning him and wanted to talk but head General Ben gave him a sign not to and he did while King Hartley who had been thinking asked the messenger “what about King Kung Lim and his people?”.
• “We don’t know anything about them yet. It is still unknown whether the Kynite kingdom had any survivors” said the messenger.
• King Hartley called 4 generals and they answered him and then he said to them “I want every detail of what happened to the Kynite kingdom. I also want to know if anyone survived the attack”.
• “Yes, your royal majesty” said the four generals, and then the meeting was dismissed.
• In the royal pavilion was King Hartley, Queen Rebeca, head General Ben, assistant General Suci, and the two princes present, and there was silence. King Hartley and head General Ben were on their feet while the others were seated. While on their feet, King Hartley thought about the Kynite kingdom that had been destroyed and head General Ben thought about the Arkains that attacked the Kynite kingdom while the others looked at both the head King and the great General.
• King Hartley broke the silence as he looked at assistant General Suci and asked him “why do you say we should run, Suci? I am sure you are not saying this because of what your elder sister said. You have always been a silent person. For you to voice out that we should run means something. I want you to tell me why you want us to run regardless of what your sisters said”.
• Everyone focused on assistant General Suci to hear what he had to say. Assistant General Suci said “I am glad that, Your Royal Majesty, know that I don’t talk. If I say we should run we should definitely run, and the reason I said so is because of the Arkians”.
• “What is it about the Arkians? I am sure it has to do with what happened to you” head General Ben asked assistant General Suci.
• “Yeah. I nearly died just so I can give the information I am about to give now. The Arkians had been tricking us all this time since they arrived. They have been playing us” said assistant General Suci.
• “I want every detail, Suci. I want it spilled out” said King Hartley to assistant General Suci.
• “When I get to the scouts’ camp I found all the scouts dead. Just a look at their bodies shows they haven’t been recently killed but they had been killed for a while now which means………..”. said assistant General Suci.
• King Hartley and head General Ben were confused to hear from assistant General Suci that the scouts had been dead for a while now which made head General Ben cut assistant General Suci short of words as he cut in asking assistant General Suci “if you say all the scouts had been dead for a while now then who had been sending messages?”.
• “That is a mystery that remained unsolved. It is puzzling that messages continue to be sent to the kingdoms whereas the scouts are dead. Who or what sent the messages is unknown. We couldn’t have also figured it out because all we got from the scouts were always papers containing the content of letters which is the message. We had seen the scouts for a long time” said assistant General Suci.
• King Hartley and head General Ben were confused concerning the dead scouts and thought about what might be happening. King Hartley thought out loud saying “It couldn’t have been possible for the Arkians to be the ones messaging us. They are not humans and their size also makes it impossible for them to write”.
• “Yeah, it can’t be them. But whoever helped the Arkains is aiding them. He/she was able to trick us and lure us to help the Arkains. I think the Arkians have a human aiding them” said head General Ben.
• “That is the least of our problems for now. That is not even the problem” said assistant General Suci.
• Just then priestess Mary entered the pavilion and dropped a big book on the table in front of Queen Rebeca which distracted everyone in the pavilion. Priestess Mary said to Queen Rebeca with a smile “guess what? I found this book hidden in the library it talks about………..”.
• Priestess Mary was cut short of words because King Hartley shut her up and then said to her “can’t you read the room?”.
• Hearing King Hartley make priestess Mary looked at everyone in the pavilion to see they were all serious about something then she apologized to King Hartley and left the pavilion without the book.
• After priestess Mary left the hall, King Hartley asked assistant General Suci “what is coming for us, Suci?”.
• “Arkians but powerful Arkians. After I left the scouts' camp, I went to the portal and there, I saw Arkains which are more deadly, faster, and stronger than any Arkains we have ever seen or fought” said assistant General Suci fearfully.
• “I need a full description of the Arkains” said head General Ben to assistant General Suci.
• “The Arkians I saw coming out of the portal are the same Arkians that attacked and conquered the Kynite kingdom. They are bigger than the size of the Arkians that we have seen. They have wings each and two tails each. They are much faster than the Arkians that we have ever fought, and their claws and fangs are way sharper and longer than the ones we have ever fought. They are way deadly” said assistant General Suci worriedly.
• Hearing all that assistant General Suci said made everyone in the pavilion terrified and anxious, and King Hartley began to think. Prince Ranork said worriedly “no way such Arkains could exist”
• “Are you telling me that I am seeing things?” said assistant General Suci to Prince Ranork.
• “He is just trying to confirm if you are right about the Arkians you saw” said Prince Ragon to assistant General Suci.
• “Yes, are you sure of what you saw, Suci?” head General Ben asked assistant General Suci.
• “Do you all think I am lying right now or what? I can’t believe this. I know what I saw and I am sure of it. Your royal majesty needs to listen to what I said and let us run because there is no way our army could fight against such things” said assistant General Suci worriedly.
• “No. We can’t just run away all of a sudden. There is nothing that can’t be battled. We will battle them just like the other Arkians we have been battling” said head General Ben to assistant General Suci.
• “Don’t you hear what he just said? He said the new Arkains are way more powerful, deadly, and dangerous than the ones we have ever fought. This is the first time we are seeing Arkians that have wings and two tails each, and you are saying we should wait and fight. We should wait and fight the Arkians that took over the Kynite kingdom overnight? How is that reasonable? The armies stand no chance against the Arkians, Suci confirms that. The gods had also shown us the coming of this and the only way we can survive is to run. We have to run” said Queen Rebeca to head General Ben.
• “To where? If we pack our things now and decide to run, where do we run to?……….. We have nowhere to run to which is why we must fight” said head General Ben to Queen Rebeca.
• “There is a place we can run to” said Queen Rebeca to head General Ben.
• “And where is that?” head General Ben asked Queen Rebeca.
• “Do you think I and Mary were going to do nothing all because the head King didn’t listen to me? I and Mary will always do our duty as the guardians of the kingdoms and finding us a new home which is the only way we can survive is what we have been doing. I am Mary had to use our powers to search for worlds and we found a world that is identical to our world. It is a world that would be suitable for our people. And that is the world we should run to” said Queen Rebeca to head General Ben.
• “You want us to go to a strange world all because it is identical to our world? How is that also reasonable? A world that we don’t know anything about not even beings that live in the world or what it is that might be waiting for us in that world. How can we just live our world and go there? That is not an option. We have an option and the option is that we stay and fight. I don’t care how powerful the Arkians have gotten, we will fight them and prevail” said head General Ben to Queen Rebeca.
• There was disagreement between the head Queen and the great general which led to them exchanging words that one of them wanted the downfall of the kingdoma but then King Hartley stopped thinking and shut the both of them up.
• After shutting them up, the head Queen and great general tried to talk to the head King but he refused to listen to them and then asked assistant General Suci “what do you think should be done, Suci?”.
• “The head Queen and the great general are both right, your royal majesty. We can’t just leave our world to go live in a strange world. It is going to affect our people greatly. We can not also fight the Arkians I saw, our armies can’t stand against them. If they try to, they will all be killed. At this moment, I don’t know what decision should be made. I am sorry” said assistant General Suci to King Hartley.
• After hearing from assistant General Suci, King Hartley asked Queen Rebeca “if we are to vacate our world to the world you said, can we right now?”.
• “No. We have to wait until the full moon which is next month. By then, I and Mary would have gathered the energy we needed to open the portal. We also have to find where the energy of the moon will be which is where we can open the portal” said Queen Rebeca to King Hartley.
• After hearing the head Queen, King Hartley asked head General Ben “do you think you can help us defeat the Arkians?”.
• “I understand the new Arkians are different from the ones we had battled, but if I engage in a battle against the new Arkians, I can learn about them and train the army in the way to fight them. I am confident we can defeat them and regain what we have lost” said head General Ben to King Hartley.
• Hearing head General Ben, King Hartley thought for a while before saying “this is how it is going to be. Queen Rebeca and Mary will gather all the necessary things they need to prepare us for the departure of our world. Head General Ben will do whatever it is he needs to do to make sure we survive the Arkians until the full moon”.
• “Yes, your royal majesty” said everyone in the hall, agreeing to the head King's decision.
• Just then the head guard entered the pavilion and bowed to everyone and then head General Ben asked the head guard “what is it?”.
• “News just came in that Bravmus kingdom has been conquered by the Arkians” said the head guard.
