• I held my breath as we were landing and as soon as we got off the plane I took a deep inhale and smiled at the familiar scent of the territory and I took in all the scenery on the drive to the town. As we started to approach the one place I see as the most sacred and special place in my heart I put a hand on Ryker’s shoulder since he’s the one driving right now and he looks at me and I can feel the sadness in my eyes, he simply give me a small smile and nods his head. It was a conversation that didn’t require words or even a mind link. He knew exactly what I was thinking and as we approached the small dirt road he pulled off and parked the car, I could sense that Damon was confused at first but he didn’t say anything and just went back to texting Jasmine.
• I get unbuckled after Ryker parks the car and I take a breath and get out and close the door and start walking towards the hill but I only make it about ten feet before I stop and turn slightly to look at Ryker and I simply extend my hand to him signifying that I want him to come with me. He wastes no time and I see him get unbuckled and gets out of the car and walks over to me and gently holds my hand in his so I continue walking and leading him along with me.
