Chapter 16

• Damon brought me a shirt and a pair of shoes and told me that most of what happened was taken care of and that Arabella’s parents would be back soon. He asked again about what he saw, he said that she healed almost as fast as me and that he thought for sure she was going to have to fight for her life with how much blood she lost. I told him just enough to get him to stop asking questions and promised I would tell him everything when he get back home or better yet, Arabella could tell him herself if she wanted to. Alpha Zeke is being looked over by the pack doctor and from what he told Damon, will be mostly healed by tomorrow morning after a solid night of rest, so hopefully that will put Arabella at ease when we leave.
• Damon and I are sitting in her parents dining room when we hear the door open and they both come in with looks of confusion on their faces, “What’s wrong? The call we got sounded like something terrible happened.”
