Chapter 15
- Ryker
- A sound that I think will plague my dreams for a long time, a sound that I didn’t think could ring so much pain through my entire body. I smelled her come into the packhouse and I was going to talk to her, but she seemed to be on a one-track path to Alpha Zeke’s office, so I was hopeful that she finally made the decision to try and talk to him. There weren’t a lot of people in the packhouse, so it was easy to hear the slightly elevated voices coming from his office, then the snarling sound of a shift made me stand up on edge along with Damon and we heard the door bust down so we started to jog up the stairs but the second I heard her blood curdling scream I was flat out sprinting.
- As soon as I got to his office the sight my eyes saw made my blood run hotter than it ever has, seeing his aura crushing her and her leg broken laying in a pool of her own blood and not stopping. Griffin has never forced a shift so quickly; he couldn’t believe that an Alpha would injure one of his pack members, much less his Beta’s daughter and seeing her in pain hurt us too. We knew a statement needed to be said without words and the second that Griffin stood over Arabella, Alpha Zeke’s wolf became enraged, the scent of her blood was filling my senses and we were wondering why her wolf wasn’t healing her, then I realized that it was probably because of the crushing auras in the room so I told Griffin that we needed to take it outside or she was going to bleed out.
